How overtime tax is estimated
This calculator estimates the marginal federal income tax on your overtime by comparing your total tax with and without the overtime earnings. It then subtracts FICA (Social Security and Medicare) and your selected state's income tax from the gross overtime pay to show an approximate take-home amount.
